In April of 2020, my family and I’d made plans for a Caribbean vacation for a couple weeks. Then came a March break that never ended. Like many Canadians, I found myself at home, in quarantine with two little boys, while my husband, an essential worker went to work in the city each day. When the time finally came for the kids to head back to school, everything had changed. We had to remain far apart. Take precautions. Cover our faces. Almost everyone had become strangers.
In August, I made my very first set of face masks for my 5 year old who would be entering grade one, with and without friends from his kindergarten class. The “just-for-fun” social media posts I made of him on his first day of school received so many responses that I soon had my very first orders without even posting an ad.
To date, I have made and sold over 500 face masks for kids, men and women, all with the same attention to detail, love and care that I put into making the very first set of masks for my own boys. Glee-sons Designs was created in a changing world with love for a changing world.
